With the right battery capacity, BESS covers all typical blackouts lasting up to 4-6 hours. For objects of critically long outages, a hybrid solution is possible: BESS as the main source + generator as a last resort reserve.
The duration of autonomous operation depends on the actual consumption of your object. With a configuration of 100 kWh and an average load of 25 kW, the system will provide about 4 hours of uninterrupted operation. If your average consumption is 15 kW (a typical store without powerful refrigeration equipment), autonomy increases to 6-7 hours. Battery capacity is always selected individually for your load profile.
Yes, this is one of the key advantages of a BESS over a generator. The system does not emit exhaust gases, works absolutely silently and has an IP20 protection class for the indoor version.
