For example, a 1 MW system with 1.5 MWh usable capacity would have a 1.67 MWh rated pack. We size for the 25-year life, factoring in ambient temperatures in Zaporizhzhia (down to -25°C), which is why we specify liquid cooling and IP55/C4 cabinets.
Connection Topology: How to Tie into the Grid
Most industrial sites in Zaporizhzhia are connected at 10 kV or 35 kV. If you ignore the load profile's shape – say, a metallurgical plant with a 15-minute peak from a furnace – a 1-hour battery will miss the peak entirely. Also, without proper thermal management, the battery will derate in summer, and in winter you'll see reduced capacity. And if you don't coordinate with Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo's protection settings, the BESS might trip on voltage dips, causing production stoppages.
