Step 1: Measure What You Actually Consume

Step 2: Pull the Right Documents

If you plan to increase connected capacity, the TU will need to be revised – that process takes 30-60 days.

Step 3: Verify Grid Constraints with Poltavaoblenergo
Your local DSO, Poltavaoblenergo, handles connection applications and technical conditions. You cannot bypass them. At 0.4 kV, you are limited to about 100-200 kW of storage without a transformer upgrade; at 10 kV, you have more headroom. Check the actual available short-circuit capacity at your point of connection – we can request that from the DSO on your behalf.
Also verify if your site has a standby diesel generator. If yes, the BESS can be integrated into the existing emergency power system, but the transfer switch logic must be designed carefully.
Step 4: The Solution – LiFePO4 Containerized Systems
For industrial sites in Poltava, we recommend containerized BESS with LiFePO4 cells from CATL or other Tier-1 manufacturers. Liquid cooling ensures stable operation in Ukrainian winters and summers. Each unit includes a BMS, EMS/SCADA, and is rated IP55/C4 for outdoor installation. Sizes range from 50 kW to 5 MW, and we typically design for 2-4 hours of discharge duration.

Step 5: Commissioning and Service
